Short version: your subtitle files never leave your device, and we don’t want your data.
Your subtitle files
Every tool on fixsubtitles runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you open, convert, shift, fix or edit a file, that file is read into your browser’s memory, processed locally, and offered back to you as a download. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party. There is no upload step and no server-side processing. You can verify this by opening your browser’s network panel while using a tool, or by disconnecting from the internet — the tools keep working.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookieless. It records aggregate page views and basic performance metrics without setting cookies, without fingerprinting, and without building a profile of you. It does not see your files.
Local storage
We store one small preference in your browser’s localStorage: your light/dark theme choice. It stays on
your device and is never sent anywhere. It is not a cookie and is not used for tracking.
Email (Pro waitlist)
If you choose to enter your email address to be notified about a future Pro version, we store only that email address for the sole purpose of emailing you about the launch. We will not sell it or use it for unrelated marketing, and you can ask us to delete it at any time at hello@fixsubtitles.com.
Advertising
The site may display advertising in the future. If and when it does, this policy will be updated to name the ad provider and describe any data they collect, before ads go live. Ad slots are never placed where they could be mistaken for a tool control.
